In the bustling city of Lima, where buildings competed with hills for the horizon, there lived a boy with a special passion for reading. Iván often lost himself among the pages that told stories of distant worlds. Every book was an adventure waiting to be discovered.

 

His father owned a chain of movie theaters. The marquee lights, giant movie posters, and rolls of celluloid were part of an exciting environment. However, there was something Iván loved even more than the seventh art: the collection of classic youth books he had inherited from his father, books where he could read about dragons, pirates, and astronauts. One of his favorites was Bomba, the Jungle Boy.

—Movies are wonderful, Dad. They're stories with images and sound. But within the pages of books, I can imagine everything my own way. Words are like a movie projector in my head.

Iván finished high school and completed a degree in industrial engineering. However, he never stopped inventing worlds full of fascinating characters.One day, he succeeded in having a major Spanish publishing house release his first fiction novel in Peru. From then on, he would never stop "projecting" the stories that came to his mind—a place without limits and where his passion for the art of writing thrived.​​
